Driving Directions to Smugglers' Notch Resort

Below are recommended directions to Smugglers' Notch Resort. We do suggest you bring along a road map covering the areas in which you will be traveling.

Note: The historic Smugglers' Notch Pass, on Route 108 between Stowe and Jeffersonville, is closed in the Winter and closed year around to motor coaches, motor homes and commercial vehicles.

When using an online trip planner or an onboard navigational system, please use the following address for Smugglers' Notch Resort.

From Montreal, Quebec, to Smugglers:

  • Take 10 East (Eastern Township's autoroute)
  • Cross Champlain Bridge [follow direction 89 South (Vermont)]
  • Take exit 22 to 133 South through IBERVILLE. (You will see signs for 35 South. Keep following)
  • Follow 89 South, go through the U.S. border (Phillipsburg) (Exit 20 for Gas and Shopping – only an option)
  • Stay on 89 south to exit 18 (Be careful here, because this is where some people get lost)
  • Cross over the 89 Highway
  • Just after the Gas Station, turn left to 104A (5 miles) which becomes 104.
  • Go towards Cambridge (15 East), to Jeffersonville.
  • Go South onto route 108 – to the Village At Smugglers’ Notch
  • Turn Left
  • Inside the resort, turn left again. At the Telemark sign, turn right & drive to the end of the parking lot. Or, follow Gordon’s direction to Mountainview 16 (M16)

    Traveling to and from Canada
    For U.S. & Canadian residents traveling across the Canadian border, you will need to bring along either a valid driver's license, birth certificate or passport. U.S. resident aliens will also need a Green Card. All other foreign country residents will need their valid passport with I94 document.
    If you are crossing the American/Canadian border and do not have your I94 document with you, you will need your valid passport and a visa. There will be a nominal fee to prepare the I94 documentation for you.
